Amy Abler - Vice President - Counselor Coordinator/Director
I serve on the ISCA board as the VP for Director/Coordinator. As a long-time educator, I have served Iowa students as a classroom teacher, a secondary counselor, and in district leadership. I earned my undergraduate degree in English from The University of Northern Iowa, my Secondary Teaching Certification from The University of Iowa, and an MS in School Counseling from Drake University. I currently serve secondary counselors in Des Moines Public Schools as a Counseling Specialist. I have a passion for students, and I am also an avid change agent. I maintaina strong voice for breaking down barriers that impact students’ ability to flourish and achieve at high levels in every aspect of their development, particularly by working within administrative and student support systems.
