On Friday, March 10, members of the ISCA board, as well as general members, presented the report to Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds. In this presentation, members were able to discuss how the findings in this study tie directly to the work of the Governor's Future Ready Iowa Initiative. On Tuesday, March 14, the report will be shared with Future Ready Iowa Alliance (FRIA) members for inclusion in their work.
The ISCA board is pleased to present an executive summary and full report of our study's findings below for member review and utilization. Please share this report with your administrators and other stakeholders. It is important to advocate for our role in preparing students for college and career, as well as the time and resources to accomplish these goals. It is the hope of the ISCA board that this report, along with the ICAP District Plan, will become an important tool in your advocacy efforts.
The ISCA board is committed to being a leading advocate for school counselors in the state of Iowa. Our work is to help ensure that the roles and responsibilities of school counselors are properly understood and appropriately used within our schools. This report is part of that mission.
